Although we are a very small group of teachers we are proud of our school  because we are like a family. All years we like to prepare a Christmas song   for wishing our students and their parents a Merry Christmas. This year we would like also  to share with you our wishes for happiness.

Today my students and I have been doing a huge Christmas tree with paper. Then we garnished it with nice colorful balls. Now let´s hope your Christmas Card arrive soon for  dressing  our beautiful tree.

This is our Spanish Christmas Carol. We are preparing  another version in three languages: English, French and Spanish. They are the languages that we learn in the school.

"SAVE THE CHILDREN"

We like to educate in values so every year our P.E teachers organize a solidary running. All the students from 3 to 12 years old) and  the most of their  teachers participate in it. The money that we get is sent to a NGO called "save the children".  The money got this year will be  sent to  Etiopia.

It was really cold this morning although the sky had a very beautiful blue colour.

Thanksgiving day

Today, our students did Thanksgiving Cards

Carlota and her dragon!

Today I would like to introduce to  Yanira. She teaches to students to pronounce in a correct way the Spanish idiom. There are only a few students in her classes. Yanira works with   students who  have problem with the pronunciation of the words.

 

She is also the person who best  tell us stories. Here you are the last. It was called "Carlota and her dragon", I am going to try to translate for all of you because it is a very beautiful story. As usual enjoy yourself!

Theater for kids in our school

Today we had as guests a group of actors who held a play in our school for the kids. The play was called "The picky prince"

We played along with the actors.

Then we sang and we danced together.

And at the end we took pictures. It was a wonderful day!

Today my students of 1st grade just finished their Christmas Cards. All my school students and teachers are  trying to make  Christmas for all of you. They are really glad with the idea.

News

I would like to remember you some  things.

- Tomorrow will be 21st of November and it is time to begin to create the new magazine. Please I need you send me your sections when you have finished. (that is very important, please,  don´t forget  it) At the moment I have  only mounted three  sections but I think that they look really great.

- Do you remember the prezzi about Halloween? It is in a page called "Halloween Game" Only five of us have participated, at the moment. If you want, you can write comments about the photos of the other partners. We can make it  on the same prezzi. Tomorrow I am going to do it with my students. I will ask them which is their opinion about the photos of their new friends?

- In the page of November I proposed to do a crossword about  the thanksgiving day. I wrote three words with their definition. Now we have seven and I think that 10 can be a good number for doing it. Try it. On the 28th of November will be thanksgiving and We can use the puzzles and the crossword for teaching our students a story about that  day. 

- In the public blog of Twinspace are the  school address de four of us.  Sandor, Casey, Elena and Sandor. We are going to exchange  through ordinary post Christmas Cards. It would be beautiful that all of us shared  with each others. We must have prepared them before November  finished and send them on the first days of December if we want that we pupils can have them before the vacations.

- We have talked to sing "Silent Night" in our native language. It is not necessary to sing all the song. We can sing a stanza or as you prefer. Make a video and send to the twinspace. I open a file in December page.  We can try to join them in an only video.

And finally. We have a blog (blogger) for all of us. 6 of us are joined and now it is time to use it. I am going to hang all this news, there.

     In Spain we have started to make our Christmas Cards. We want that they are finished before the month finishes because they have to fly to Romania and U.K. at the moment.

And finally, this is me, the English teacher.

Hi, everybody! My name is Teresa Sánchez. I am an English teacher from Mérida, Spain. The pupils I teach are between 3 and 12 years old.  I love being a teacher. It is the job that I chose from I was a girl. I'm interested in using interactive teaching methods like Sandor,   and I try to make my students collaborate and share what they learn,  too . Mérida is a wonderful place to live and although I was born in Cáceres,   I am glad to spend the middle of my life here. I hope that all of us enjoy a lot with this project.  A hug from Spain.

Although Spain is a melting pot of cultures in the Spanish school Catholic Religion is taught.
Of course.  of course that it is not a obligatory subject.

Today, Caitlin and Teresa were together at English class. Caitilin is the English language assistant and she helps us with the pronunciation.

Caitlin is from New Mexico in the United States but she works in our school from October to June.
